December 16, 2013

MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil joined Jasmine Trias, the third-place finalist on the third season of "American Idol", on stage on Saturday, December 14 at a benefit concert for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program at the LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino to perform "Mele Kalikimaka", a Hawaiian-themed Christmas song written in 1949 by Robert Alex Anderson. Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below. The event was hosted this year by popular Las Vegas entertainer Clint Holmes, along with his wife, Kelly Clinton-Holmes. Chris Phillips and violinist Lydia Ansel of ZOWIE BOWIE also co-hosted the festivities. The theme of this year's event was "Las Vegas Loves The Beatles" and featured the entertainers performing their favorite BEATLES songs, as well as their favorite holiday songs.

David Perrico returned as the musical director this year, along with his 12-piece band and featured singers Naomi Mauro and Laura Shaffer.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
